Huangfu Song was an officer of the Han Dynasty. As a military commander, he fought against the Yellow Turbans and defeated them.


Huangfu Song was a minister of the Han Dynasty, and was appointed General of the Left during the suppression of the Yellow Turban Rebellion by Emperor Ling. In AD 184, he fought against the Yellow Turbans at Xiapi Castle and scored a victory under Zhang Liang, the brother of the Yellow Turban headman, Zhang Jiao. Huangfu Song later joined administrative roles in the Han, and was dispatched to take over Liang Province after Beigong Boyu seized it inn AD 185. He crushed the rebellion, but fell to Dong Zhuo's control after his rebellion in AD 189. Huangfu Song resigned from most of his positions, but when the Han was liberated from the monster, he returned to become an influential Han politician under Emperor Xian but died three years later.
