Ma Zheng was a general of Shu.
Biography[]
Ma Zheng was a military commander for Liu Bei, and fought in Zhuge Liang's campaigns. In AD 225, Ma Zheng and Zhang Yi were dispatched to defeat Zhu Rong, the Queen of the Nan People during Zhuge Liang's Southern Campaign. Ma Zheng was captured in the battle, but was forced to be released following Meng Huo's capitulation to the Shu army. Ma Zheng later participated in the Northern Campaigns, and defeated the Wei commanders Zhang He and Dai Ling when the Shu invaded Hanzhong in AD 230. He later fought in Jiang Wei's defense of Shu and defeated Cao Shuang in AD 243, and took part in Jiang Wei's Northern Campaigns until his death.
