Biography[]
Sun Jian raised his own army to fight in the Yellow Turban Rebellion. As its commander, he defeated several Yellow Turban armies until the end of the war. After the long rebellion, Sun Jian crushed a rebellion in Liang Province. Then, he switched to defeating Ou Xing in Jing Province. However, he supplanted the Ten Eunuchs and defeated their rebellion against Emperor Shao. Following this string of victories, Sun Jian joined the Alliance against Dong Zhuo. He commanded the Allied vanguard and defeated Lu Bu at the Battle of Da Gu. His invasion was completed when Dong Zhuo was beaten at Hulao Pass. After this long war, Sun Jian set out to conquer Jing Province yet again for Yuan Shu this time from Liu Biao. He almost won but was killed in an ambush when he was struck with three arrows.
