Wang Jian was a general of Wei.
Biography[]
Wang Jian was an underling of the rebel Gongsun Yuan. Gongsun Yuan's forces engaged in a losing battle with the forces of Wei led by Sima Yi. They eventually holed up at Xianping, but supplies ran out and they lost morale. At Gongsun Yuan's command, Wang Jian and Liu Fu offered to seurrender to Sima Yi, but were told that unless Gongsun Yuan himself surrendered, there would be no clemency. The two of the men were killed on the spot.
